Sentinal Dragon

It stood on the cliff and looked down. So many of the creatures could have been easy prey. But though it hungered, and thirsted, and longed for flight, it could not leave the cliff ledge. It simply could not. It stood there as a statue would. It was the sentinal dragon.

If you had the opportunity to take a dragon's treasure while it was hunting, would you take it and run, or wait until it comes back so you can slay it and rub it in its face?

I had enough issues killing a gaint spider why would I try to kill a dragon?I'd steal the gold while he was away and then use my wings to get my but out of there.
